Life at school, beyond the classroom.

The House System

Four houses, each with a part to play.

Every student is placed into one of four houses in their first year, led by senior student captains. Houses take part together in sport, academics, and the arts, and share responsibility for everyday campus discipline in turn.

CH

Chinar House

Gold

Named for the valley's iconic tree — known for steady discipline and consistent quiz and debate wins.

ZH

Zabarwan House

Emerald

Named for the hills that frame our campus — the school's most decorated house in sport and athletics.

DH

Dal House

Sky Blue

Named for the lake at the city's heart — known for strong showings in drama and the arts.

HH

Harmukh House

Maroon

Named for the valley's highest peak — the house most associated with adventure and expedition wins.

Campus Discipline

House captains and prefects take turns on a weekly rota, looking after corridor conduct, assembly order, and uniform checks.

Inter-House Competition

Houses earn points across sport, quizzes, debate, drama, and adventure expeditions, building toward the Founders' Day house trophy each year.

Learning to Lead

Captain and vice-captain roles change each year, giving a new group of students practice in responsibility, mentoring, and speaking to a group.

Everyday Activities

Regular time for activities beyond the syllabus.

We set aside time each week for activities that help build a student's confidence alongside their classwork.
